R-IDP work group of OPPH, in collaboration with AMEL International association, is working on a research project that aims to explore the challenges to use family planning services among Syrian refugees in Lebanon. In 2016, over 36,000 babies were born to Syrian refugees in Lebanon with approximately 60% unplanned. Our teams implemented a mixed method approach using both focus group discussions and questionnaires in order to gather data about the perception of refugees regarding the use of family planning services in Lebanon. Data collection is taking place in the governorates of Bekaa, Beirut and the South. The analysis of data is ongoing.
