The Addiction and Drug Abuse (ADA) has published the findings from the first study about Injecting Drug Users (IDU) and access to Needles/Syringes. This qualitative assessment identified the beliefs and practices of IDUs and pharmacists about access to clean syringes. The study concluded pharmacists lack awareness about the evidence-based approach of clean distribution of needle for the prevention of harmsĀ among IDUs. The study is in collaboration with civil society organization SIDC. Results were published in Substance Use & Misuse journal Read findings
