The Visual Health Project
R-IDP work group of OPPH has received a grant from the University of Alicante in Spain to promote the visual health of Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. In collaboration with Vision Care Association, the project aims at the secondary prevention of visionÂ disorders and the promotion of visual health among refugees. The team plans to implement screening among children refugee population for early diagnosis of vision problems, the supply of eyeglasses for those in need and the referral of cases to receive care in primary health care centers. The project aims at improving the well-being and the academic performance of children refugee population. Expected implementation: January 2018-November 2018.
